It is great that King has reached 70 and we all celebrate that but without being cruel- I feel like you can tell. It starts well enough, carrying on from the previous two, where Brady had tried to kill youngsters at a concert, but ending up in hospital himself. I wanted to review a Stephen King in honour of his recent 70th birthday and this is a fairly recent edition, completing the trilogy where unlikely crime fighting trio, Jerome, Hodges and Hollyberry track Brady Hartsfield. So, this book, End of Watch, I thought I knew what to expect. “A city hospital never falls into a deep sleep, but in the early hours of the morning it shuts its eyes and dozes.” ![]()
